Resistance is Futile
Lendrum Saxony in Black Walnut!
The color is a little off in the pic since I took it last night when I got home from The Fold. I was hoping to get a better one this morning but the sun doesn't seem to be cooperating and I'd rather be spinning than working on color correcting photos. It is more of a rich brown without any orangey-ness.
So, what would you do--dive right into a big project or do lots of mini-skein experiments to try out different fibers on it?

Omigod that is beautiful.
I think I would pull out something that I would enjoy spinning, and just spin it all.
Ooooooooh. How beeeeeyooooooooteeeeeeeeeeful! It almost makes me want to get sucked into the spinning vortex. Almost. :)
YAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!
Just go spin!!!!
That's even more gorgeous than I thought it would be! I didn't know it had different tones in the wheel - it's stunning. I can see why you gave up resisting!
I think it would be fun to spin lots of different things, but I also think that once you get going on something it would be hard to stop! How about you spin four ounces for a scarf or something, so you have your "First spinning on the Lendrum" project, then go spin samples?
Congratulations, Lucky Girl!!
That is truly gorgeous.
Spin something you love to knit into a wondeful remembrance of your first journey with your new wheel.
She is so pretty! I got to try one out some time ago. They are just dreamy. Congratulations!
Congratulations! I like Angela's idea of spinning enough for a project to commemorate the new wheel!
omg omg omg that wheel is gorgeous!!!!!
Ok kiddo...here I am giving you a real comment on your blog! I love that wheel! It is so much better than my JOy would have been...plus, my Joy is an older model and doesn't have the double treadle. Very cool. Can't wait to see it in person. Happy Holidays!
What Vanessa said, Vicki!!!!
